Lipstick of the Moment - MAC Retro Matte All Fired Up

I love a funky colored lipstick and this one by MAC was just the perfect hot pink color for spring and summer. Wear it with subtle eye makeup and golden tones and you are good to go. The lipstick is very matte, but stays on beautifully! You don't even really need to re-apply it - I do just because I love it when the pigmentation looks super intense. This long lasting lipstick isn't like most since it won't leave your lips super dry. It's a must have for the season. I love it! - Read More

The No-Fail Combo

A black and white combo never fails. I love adding a black and white palette to my denim for a casual yet chic "I'm here for business" look. Be sure to rock a pair of interesting kicks, too! - Read More

Spring Time Schiap

I can finally see the spring light at the end of this frigid winter tunnel, which means it’s almost bright, punchy lipstick season. Gone are the deep reds and purples and it’s time to reintroduce hot pinks, corals, and red-oranges. My go-to lip color from May flowers to Labor Day is Nars’ cult classic shade, Schiap. It may seem intimidatingly bright, but don’t fear it’s just what a girl needs to brighten up her face and add some kick to any outfit. - Read More

James Jeans x Coachella Recap

What a weekend! I'm currently back home in the OC and I'm superglued to my bed and it's never felt more comforting. I took a much needed nap and when I woke up, I knew exactly how my iPhone feels after it charges up from death and finally powers on after a couple percent. As exhausting as it was, a close-to-home Coachella trip to experience amazing live music, grand parties, and the whimsical beauty of Palm Springs is always worth it. - Read More

Pretty In Punk: Undercover Spring/Summer 2014

"The world used to be silent Now it has too many voices. And the noises are constant distraction They multiply, intensify.” So begins “Shut Up,” a Patti Smith-type movement between powerful spoken segments and guttural baselines that drives the opening track off Savages’ debut LP, Silence Yourself. Serving as the soundtrack to Japanese brand Undercover’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection, the song spoke beautifully to designer Jun Takahashi's pursuit to capture communicative contradictions: "The collection of this season is themed on such contradictions in this world, in addition to internal struggles that we face on a day-to-day basis and sets of opposing emotions within... - Read More

Indio & Other Desert Cities

I should start by saying I’d never been to the desert. I’d never experienced a sand storm and I’d certainly never stayed in a five-star ranch (with 24/7 chefs and bartenders). That is, until this past weekend when I had the opportunity to travel with UGG Australia and Stylecaster for a weekend of stylish mayhem during Coachella. It was absolutely fantastic. We were treated like princes and got some pretty sweet kicks to keep us comfortable while we were galavanting around the festival. Our resident photographer (and my new favorite person) Justin Bridges was there to capture some of the... - Read More
